Alan Shoemaker

Embracing and implementing a business philosophy of “doing what is right is the right thing to do,” Alan has spent his 35+ years in the mortgage industry reaching—and exceeding—his professional goal of being recognized as an outstanding loan officer that always respects the best interests of his clients. He has achieved a myriad of loan volume milestones while working with such industry leaders as Colonial Mortgage, Norwest Mortgage, Perpetual Savings Bank and 1st Mariner Mortgage, specializing in FHA, VA, conventional and builder/construction loans. When he joined Mason Dixon Funding in 2009, he embarked on an endeavor to grow the company’s realtor/builder relationships in Southern Maryland. Now, as a valued member of the Embrace Home Loans team, Alan continues to develop and nurture those relationships. Born in Chattanooga, TN and raised in Bethesda, MD, Alan attended the University of Maryland where he studied commercial arts. He manifests his commitment to support the industry in which he works by participating in the Maryland Mortgage Bankers Association’s educational programs and by being active with the Southern Maryland Board of Realtors. Within his own community, he supports the work of the Charles County Chamber of Commerce and various local church and civic organizations. His personal passions include his three grown children, one granddaughter and a small horse farm in Anne Arundel County, MD.
